Spring
Between early March and mid-May, this destination becomes a paradise for ski mountaineering, with famous routes based at “Le Refuge de Fond 2324,” such as Roc Bassagne, Punta Calabre, La Grand Rousse, La Galisia, and the passes leading to Piedmont or France, including Val d'Isère.
Summer
Here, during the summer season, some of the most popular activities include hiking and walking on well-marked trails that start, for example, from our apartments "BouqueGeorgeoline 1795" or "Le Jardin des Anglais 1815," from our rooms "La Reverie de Thumel 1869," or from our refuge "Le Refuge de Fond 2324." Some of the most interesting hikes include La Traversière, Lake Goletta, Lake Sant'Elena, Plan des Marmottes, and Colle dell'Entrelor. Rock climbing enthusiasts can challenge breathtaking rock walls, while the Cosimiro via ferrata offers an exhilarating experience to be lived. For cycling enthusiasts, both electric and traditional bicycles allow exploring the valley with routes ranging from easy to challenging.
Autumn
In autumn, photographic treks offer the opportunity to capture the beauty of the landscape, with its breathtaking colors. The reduced crowds also make it easier to spot wildlife, which descends to the valley during this season.
Winter
With the arrival of snow, Rhêmes Notre Dame, whether under the stars or the sun, transforms into an ideal destination for snowshoeing. Geographical Location
The municipality is located in the autonomous region of Valle d'Aosta, in north-west Italy. This enchanting oasis of biodiversity shares its borders with France, Piedmont, Valsavarenche, and Valgrisenche, and is completely surrounded by the Gran Paradiso National Park, a protected area spanning over 700 square kilometers, ensuring it receives special protection.
Altitude
Rhêmes-Notre-Dame is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,720 meters above sea level. The surrounding peaks exceed 3,000 meters, with its most emblematic symbol being the Granta Parey, which stands at 3,387 meters.
Popolation
It is known for being the least populated municipality in the Aosta Valley, with about 70 inhabitants. This contributes to preserving its tranquility and authentic atmosphere.
